my lil love bugs: Still working on our Summer fun list!

We are making every second count this summer. We have been busy marking things off our list and even adding things on we never had on there to begin with. So needless to say...we are having a blast.

Some things we've done over the past couple of weeks:

*Watched a movie outdoors-

Our town puts on free movies in the baseball park every Friday night in June every summer. This night they were showing Dolphin Tale. It was so amazingly breezy outside and beautiful. Thats very surprising for June in Texas. Everyone brought their blankets and chairs and layed out under the stars. Its was a perfect family night together.

*Went Swimming in Someone's Pool-

We were really hoping someone would volunteer their pool for us to borrow one day this summer. Our wish came true when my sweet uncle said we were more than welcome to borrow his back yard anytime we wanted. So of course we jumped right on that offer and enjoyed an evening of swimming.

*Built an outdoor Fort with sheets-
As a child my mom used to make me clothesline forts every summer. She would add my kitchen set, chairs, tables, and different furniture. I thought it was the most amazing thing when she would build it for me. I wanted to recreate the same for my boys..however, instead of it being a peaceful little house on the prairie home it quickly became a nerf gun base and a secret hideout from the ninjas. LOL...guess my calm and peaceful girl things just won't cut it here in this house full of testosterone. :) The boys LOVED it though. It didn't turn out too pretty but they were super happy about it and it stayed up for a couple of days!
