Easter activities... Just in time for E week:)

So this Easter I planned to do E week the same week as Easter. We did many Easter activities throughout last week. Of course we had our normal hunt, colored eggs and the Easter bunny visited... But we did a few crafts and things as well.

Our 1:1 Activity

Isaiah said he was coloring the eggs and would use the rabbit tongs to spoon them from carton to tray and then back!

Our open and close technique..I would hide small items in the eggs and Isaiah would practice opening and closing them to find each surprise. We also made a guessing game using the items to hide then guess which egg that item was in.

What an amazing weekend we had last weekend.  We started our Easter weekend with an egg hunt at a local church on Saturday. We met with up with some of our best friends and ate at Chick fil A and then we were off to see Hop at the theaters. Then we made confetti eggs when we got home! It was so fun and our boys enjoyed every second of our day!

 Sunday we started our day with an egg hunt from the Easter bunny. Isaiah and Isaac got lots of goodies from the Easter bunny and found all of his eggs he hid all around our house. After church we had Easter with my side of the family, where the boys had a huge hunt awaiting them(150 eggs for six kids...craziness.:)) and then we all colored eggs together. Not to mention we had TONS of food!!:) We ended our day with a hunt at my in laws house and lots and lots of more amazing food and fun. What an amazing and eventful weekend. Hmmm what to do with all this left over candy???

*TOTSCHOOL* Letter P Week

Letter P alphabet animal. P is for Penguin!

Isaiah made Pumpkin Pie Playdough....it smelled so DELICIOUS. It was very tempting for him to eat. I kept having to remind him it was only to play with. :). We used our original homemade playdough recipe we always use but we added in pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. We will definitely be making this again!

What an amazing day! We will definitely be going back every year!!!

(Ok so our puppy picture really doesn't have much to do with our letter P week other than we had just got him when we studied our letter P. He was so tiny and cute! Isaiah got him for his birthday!)
P week turned out to be so much fun...we did so much this week. We made a LOT of pumpkin crafts, we read a popcorn book and popped Jiffy pop old time popcorn just like the lady in the book, we went on a picnic and ate only "P" foods, and we visited the Pumpkin Patch.We also did hidden picture (pumpkins) worksheets, read many peguin books and learned about Polar bears. One day we did an experiment on how Penguins stay warm. We put baggies over each of Isaiah's hands, dipped one in Crisco and left the other one with just the baggie only. We dipped each hand in a bowl of ice and decided which hand stays warmer. Isaiah discovered that penguins skin has a protectant layer to keep them warm, a lot like the Crisco on his hand.  It was pretty neat. Thank you Aunt Krissy for giving us this idea! All in all P week was so much fun and now we have many memories to look back on together!

*TOTSCHOOL* Letter S Week

Again, letter S Week was many months ago in January. During this week it snowed a lot. We were thrilled with the snow and it was just in time for "S is for Snow" week. Isaiah made a marshmallow snowman, a toilet paper roll snowmen, he traced a letter S with shape stickers, he dot painted a letter S and painted a snowman using white paint on black construction paper. Many of our crafts this week were created around our wonderful snow we had outside. Isaiah played in the snow a lot this week. In Texas we hardly get snow, so the little bit we got was much appreciated and very much played in! One day we made Snow cones out of our Snoopy Snow cone Maker...they were very yummy!!!

Isaiah made a snowman outline with mini marshmallows. I outlined the circles with glue for him and he just followed the lines to create his man. Of course he ate more marshmallows than actually made it on the paper.
