Family Movie Night~ A Bug's Life

We decided to make it a family movie night tonight! The boys have been all about catching bugs lately so I figured A Bug's Life would be perfect!

We went with the picnic themed table and I named a lot of the foods after characters from the movies!
Dot's Bug Juice, Heimleich's Caterpillar rolls, Slim's Walking Sticks(pretzel rods), Francis Ladybugs(strawberries) and Baby caterpillars(grape kabobs)

Flik's Grain (corn kernals) and watermelon

Atta's ants on a log (celery with pb and raisins) and Dim's Beetles (bbq boneless chicken)

Earlier in the day we made these fun Bug hats! I think Isaac loved his the most...he wore it all afternoon! :) It was so cute!
These are super easy to make. We just cut construction paper for the bands, used white and black construction paper to make the big eyes, and then taped two pipe cleaners on for the antennas. I love how they turned out! So cute! I got this idea from another blogger over at http://www.disboards.com/. (The direct link won't show up for some reason, but I was linked to it through Pinterest!)

After we ate we all enjoyed watching the movie! So much fun together! I will cherish these nights forever!!!

Wreck it Ralph~ {mini} Family Movie Night

Today both big boys had dentist appointments. The weather is NASTY (cold and rainy) and afterwards we came right back home to stay for the rest of the day. The boys recently got the new movie Wreck it Ralph and we thought it would be fun to do a mini movie day!
We started with decorating our tv stand...
We made "laffy taffy" ropes out of pink tissue paper. Isaiah and Isaac colored pages I printed online of Felix, Penelope, and Ralph. We built a small replica(to our best perfection) ;) of the building that Ralph wrecks on the game. And I threw together some little snacks to enjoy during the movie!

I also went to my go to place for Family Movie tickets, Mommas Playground.

Look how cute Isaiah's picture is...I love how he wrote Fix it Felix across the top. Makes my heart smile!

We made Sugar Rush cars..apple slices, pb, chocolate wheels, and lots of sprinkles. Another fun idea I saw on Mommas playground!:) We tweeked it a little with the materials we had on hand!

So proud of their creations. :)

Isaiah said he was Wreck it Isaiah!

Ready to watch the movie...they loved finding candy surprises in their popcorn!

If your wondering what little man does while we create...well, he just sits and smiles and eats! What a sweetie he is!!!

What a fun family day...well almost family...we were missing daddy. He had to work today!:(

"Family Movie Night"- CARS

We haven't had a family night in way too long so we decided we would have a Cars movie night last night after Daddy came in from work. He came home to a house full of boys and Cars stuff everywhere.:)

While I was busy preparing some of the foods, the boys made a stoplight craft and played with our transportation sensory bin. Our nephew Max spent the night with us so he helped supervise the craft.

Isaac LOVES glue sticks. If I ever want to keep him busy I just give him scrap paper and a glue stick and he will go to town glueing everything.
Our transportation sensory bin. I used black beans as the "tar road", cones, keys, small micro machine cars(these were the hubs when he was little), stoplights, red green and yellow pouring utensils, small tires and lots of different car tools.

The boys stoplights. I love how Isaacs(middle) is all squished together. The are so cute.

Our movie tickets Isaiah passed out before the show. He loves playing "movie theater" on these nights. Its so sweet He asks when the popcorn will be served and also tells everyone to turn off their cell phones and no talking during the movie.;)By the way I get alot of my ticket printouts over at mommasfabulousplayground.blogspot.com. She also has great ideas for family movie nights.:)
Our Cuisine:
Lightning McQueen and Tow Mader chicken nuggets.

Cars and trophy chips (made by mommy) and MUD...or bean dip which ever you prefer.

Luigi's Casa Della Tire Shop...or chocolate donuts.

Ian even got to join in on the fun for a while. :)

We also made graham cracker stoplights.

Graham cracker, peanut butter, and m &m's. Nothing is better than chocolate and peanut butter in the same snack.:)

My cute nephew Max!

The boys and their movie tickets.
AND now they were ready for the feature presentation!!!

A house full of boys....guess I have no problem taking over the throne as queen though!:)

Advent Day # 10: Polar Express Family Movie Night

We had a blast tonight. Isaiah pulled the chain off this morning that said we were going to have a Polar Express Movie Night tonight. We went with the Christmas theme dinner. My hubby made the tickets online. He did a great job. Much better than when I make them. I know who is recruited to "family movie night ticket making" now....:)  During the movie we had hot chocolate, cookies, and popcorn. And towards the end when Santa comes out in show, we gave both boys bell necklaces. I had placed them in the freezer earlier today so they were very cold just like from the North Pole. What an amazing night full of imagination. I really LOVE family movie nights with my loves.

This is a veggie tray Christmas tree. Thank you pinterest for the idea.

Our candy cane pizza.:)

Christmas tree pizzas.

Check out our golden tickets. My honey did a great job creating these.

The kids got the golden tickets and we got the others.

My loves getting ready to watch the movie.

Our intermission snacks.

My sweet babies after we gave them their frozen bells from the North Pole.

Sorry for the sideways picture..for some reason it wont load correctly...but this is our train snack/craft we made!
