Christmas in July 2013 Party

It's time again for our annual summer Christmas party! It was another huge hit! We all had so much fun! Check out our party from last year here!
We started the night with a Christmas themed dinner!

Our sweet kiddos...minus one who was camping with her Nana and Papa! :)

 

Reindeer root beers, pizza, salad, strawberry Santa hats, and reindeer cookies.

We played Christmas minute to win it games!!!

 

First one: Jingle in the Trunk!- You had 60 seconds to shake as many bells from the box as you can. No hands allowed!

 

 

 

 

 

The second game: Face the gingerbread cookie!- Using only your face muscles, move the gingerbread cookie from your face to your mouth. We allowed you to drop the cookie and put back on you forehead and whoever had the fastest time within  the 60 seconds was the winner! The adults were the most competitive in this game. haha

 

 

 

 

And the last game: Stack the Snowman- The object is to stack as many snowmen as you can within the 60 seconds. They have to be three snowballs(marshmallows) high and standing at the buzzer or they don't count. This one was much more complicated than it sounds. :) Most of us only got one!!!

 

 

Isaac just wanted to eat them instead! lol



 

We had a Dollar Tree gift exchange for the kids!

 

We finished our night with one of our Christmas favorites...The Elf! Such a funny movie!

We also made "trash". This has been a family Christmas tradition for many many years!!!

 

 

 

We had a blast with cousins as we chalked up another fun Christmas In July (actually August) party! We made so many memories together that I hope all the kids will cherish forever! I know I will!!!

 

Summer Fun List~ Catching up on our Fun!

We've been marking fun activities off our big Summer Fun list! We have had so much fun already this summer! We most definitely need to get busy marking some more off though! We are finishing up VBS at our church this week and next week we will have some more fun! We have added to our written list at home so we really haven't been bored at all!
Here's some of our pics from the list:

#32. Mad Scientist Monday - (although we actually did this on Wednesday..oops) We chose a diet coke and mentos experiment as our first kick off science experiment this week!  Before we dropped in the mentos we talked about what might happen if they drop a few mentos in! Their predictions were super cute and pretty accurate! What boy doesn't love making an explosion?

 

#4. Visit the Splash pad- We actually visit this splash pad quite often and will all throughout the summer! It's just too hot here in Texas to not stay in the water all summer!

 

#50. SWIM all summer-  again we be swimming many many times this summer!

#13. Attend Vacation Bible School(VBS)- Isaiah went last week to his cousins' church with them to VBS and this week we just finished up VBS at our church! He had so much fun at both and made wonderful memories he will always treasure! My nephew came to our church bible school with us. Ian and Isaac also got to go to the one at our church this week because I taught 5th grade. They had so much fun too!

#41- ZOO fun!-  Our local zoo offers early admission every Monday for the month of June with lots of fun extras they throw in for all the season pass holders! We were able to take advantage of two of these Mondays thankfully! (note the cute penguin in the pic below...awe)
