Isaiah's Lunchbox~ Playing Ketchup...

Get it?? Playing Ketchup?...No?...Ketchup...Catch up?
Um, anyways I am officially trying to catch up on some of Isaiah's lunches he has been taking. We have had the past couple of weeks just totally been thrown for a loop. ALL 5 of us here have been sick off and on and I personally was exhausted. I hardly even got on the computer at all, and did not have time to post lunches. Sorry! However, I did get some pics of a few of Isaiah's lunches(with the Iphone so they aren't the best) but at least I did catch a little. There has also been a few times that Isaiah wanted to eat in the cafeteria and a few times there was a holiday at his school or he was out sick.

Day 34: Batty lunch

Bat pb and j sandwich, a banana (I carved a bat with Boo in it), clementines, candy corn, bugles and peanuts, and a fang candy.

 Day 35: Fall roll ups
Turkey roll ups, halloween chips, apple slices, boo mallows, and a fall rice krispy treat.

Day 36: Haunted mansion spookiness

Haunted house tuna sandwich, halloween pretzels, spooky oreo cookies, and a clementine I drew a jackolantern face on.

Day 37: Isaiah was sick this day with crazy allergies so I made him a Halloween muffin tin meal.

Boo mallows, halloween tortilla chips, oreo cakester dipped in sprinkles, jello, halloween shaped mac n cheese, and clementine oranges.

Day 38: Isaiah's Happy Birthday Lunch (he actually took this one the day before his bday)

Birthday sandwich with fruit strips for the ribbon, pretzel sticks, clementine, birthday cookies, cupcake flavored goldfish cookies, m&ms and a cute birthday pick;)

 Day 39: Lazy day lunch;)
Puzzle pb sandwich, cheese stick, goldfish, cheese stick, and a mini granola bar.

Day 40: Isaiah LOVED this one because of the sub sandwich...he's requested it again!
Roast beef and turkey sub sandwich, cheese its, graham cookies, and sliced strawberries.

Day 41: Leftover pizza lunch
Leftover pizza from the night before, raisins, oranges, and caramel popcorn with white fudge drizzles.

Day 42:Squirrel lunch
Squirrel sandwich, fruit roll up, cheese balls, and "acorn" donut holes. To make these "acorns" I dipped the donut holes in nutella(could use chocolate or pb), then I dipped them in chopped peanuts(could use sprinkles), and then I poked an end of a pretzel stick in the top.

Well, hopefully this can sort of catch me up on some of the posts. I plan to start doing them weekly again! We shall see how it goes.;)

Isaiah's Monster Bash

For Isaiah's 6th Birthday he decided he wanted a monster bash. Pinterest is crawling with ideas so I was excited to say the least. :)
Isaiah's Aunt Krissy came up with a great idea to do a caramel apple bar which ended up being a huge hit. We had TONS of sugar, TONS of food, TONS of kiddos and family so I would say it was a big success!:)
My big 6 year old!!!
We served homemade chili, frito pies, roasted hotdogs(we had a fire built where everyone roasted their own), chips and dip and monster cookies. Not to mention loads of candy!

Our caramel apple bar consisted of- apples on sticks, caramel, white chocolate, mini marshmellows, crushed oreos, chopped peanuts, lots of different sprinkles, coconut, all flavors of candy corn, and mini m&ms.  We also roasted marshmellows for smores. YES lots of sugar. This was all before the cake! UGH...makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it!

The kids enjoying their apples:

We had a hayride, pinata, sack races, and roasted hotdogs and marshmellows to make smores. And of course whats a Monster bash party without the Monster Mash soundtrack. Isaiah showed off his break dancing skills. hehe
We were VERY busy with activities. I think the kids had a sugar rush that probably lasted a week long.lol

Here are some pics of our fun night: Sorry for the pic overload...there were just so many to choose from. :)

Birthday Surprises

Isaiah's actual birthday fell on a school day this year. He still had a great day and was thrilled when I surprised him with lunch and cupcakes for his class at school. I didn't make him a lunch this day and instead surprised him with a Subway cheese pizza, sugar cookie and a rootbeer...his fav.
After school I had some simple birthday fun planned to make his night special!
This year I decided to fill six birthday balloons with money for Isaiah's birthday. Some were filled with dollars and some with coins. Since Isaiah was turning six he would receive a total of 6.00. He LOVED that all these balloons were specifically his. And he also LOVED popping them with push pins. It was a fantasic tradition to start and we plan on doing this for all the boys.

SIX...I cannot believe it!!!!

On the menu of the night.....Isaiah's request;)...Hotdogs, funyuns and birthday cookies. He is one easy boy to please. haha

Can't forget the candle.lol

He also got a special gift this day. A new ninjago lego set!

Him and his daddy mastered this one pretty quickly.

Isaiahs eyes are always closed. lol

We played LOTS of games. Skip bo jr, Candy Land, Uno, and Chutes and Ladders.

And at the end of the night Isaiah was surprised by Skully with a SPOOKY bath! (post coming soon with more details.)

Overall our sweet little guy had a great day! Sometimes its the simple things that make the best memories!
