Candy and Dentists~ A wonderful mix!

Our theme for the week was Candy! We had so much left over from trick or treating the week before I decided we needed to have a little fun with it. We played with the candy in all sorts of ways.

Little man used our puffy candy stickers to place along the C.
The page was laminated so it was easy for him to peel  off and do again and again.

Bible verse of the week:
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalm 34:8

Which candy is different?

We used our candy "bowl" a little differently this year. Isaiah needed more of a challenge so we practiced addition and subtraction. I would place the math problem on the bottom of the bowl and he would have to put the correct number of candy inside.

Isaac and I practiced placing the correct number of candy with the number I placed on the bottom.

Matching Candy pieces.

Candy vs Fruit sort!

Puzzles. hehe...he was so proud!

Definitely a favorite with the boys ~ graphing candy from the bucket! They each took turns drawing a candy from the middle and they would record it onto their graph. Once the entire bucket was empty the one candy with the most draws was the winner. This winning candy was the peice the boys got to eat once it was over! :)

Little man just joined in on the eating part! His favorite too!

Shape of the week: CIRCLE

Isaiah loved all of his candy worksheets! He will ask me daily if I have any "school work" for him! Makes a mama proud!

Halfway through the week we finished up our candy fun and jumped straight into dentist theme! Of course we started our lesson with a trip to the boys dentist. Even little man got to go to his first dental check up! All was clear with NO cavities for all three guys. Guess we covered it up good with brushing after all that candy earlier in the week!

The boys made tooth puppets one morning.

Mr. Toothy puppets!

I just love baby hands trying to hold a crayon. Its so sweet and takes so much concentration!

Isaac traced the kids holding the candy to the toothbrushes!
We ended our week with a good ol toothbrushin lesson! Is it just my kids that love brushing their teeth? I'm not sure if it's the toothpaste that tastes so good to them or just the simple fact of how fun spitting in the sink is to the boys!
