Christmas in July 2013 Party

It's time again for our annual summer Christmas party! It was another huge hit! We all had so much fun! Check out our party from last year here!
We started the night with a Christmas themed dinner!

Our sweet kiddos...minus one who was camping with her Nana and Papa! :)

 

Reindeer root beers, pizza, salad, strawberry Santa hats, and reindeer cookies.

We played Christmas minute to win it games!!!

 

First one: Jingle in the Trunk!- You had 60 seconds to shake as many bells from the box as you can. No hands allowed!

 

 

 

 

 

The second game: Face the gingerbread cookie!- Using only your face muscles, move the gingerbread cookie from your face to your mouth. We allowed you to drop the cookie and put back on you forehead and whoever had the fastest time within  the 60 seconds was the winner! The adults were the most competitive in this game. haha

 

 

 

 

And the last game: Stack the Snowman- The object is to stack as many snowmen as you can within the 60 seconds. They have to be three snowballs(marshmallows) high and standing at the buzzer or they don't count. This one was much more complicated than it sounds. :) Most of us only got one!!!

 

 

Isaac just wanted to eat them instead! lol



 

We had a Dollar Tree gift exchange for the kids!

 

We finished our night with one of our Christmas favorites...The Elf! Such a funny movie!

We also made "trash". This has been a family Christmas tradition for many many years!!!

 

 

 

We had a blast with cousins as we chalked up another fun Christmas In July (actually August) party! We made so many memories together that I hope all the kids will cherish forever! I know I will!!!

 

100 Days of Play~ Summer Ice Fun!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been following other moms for the past couple of months as they have each had a turn to post fun ideas of playing at home! Here's the post I mentioned it in before. Today is my day to post a simple idea of some fun we have had this summer.

We did this a couple of years ago around this same time. You can check it out here! Texas heat is ridiculously HOT and HUMID so if your going to be outside in the Summertime, water play is the only way! The boys love ice excavating. They get this determined look on their face and go to town on ways to melt the huge piece of ice! It's easy and cheap entertainment that lasts for a while. This time I just added some of our sponges we had left over from another project!

 

 



 

When they finished outside they were begging for popsicles. Just look at those red faces. :)

Playing this summer doesn't have to be a lot of work, just as long as you have FUN together!
