Summer break OVER...School begins again with LETTER I:)

So we took a little break from official schooling throughout the summer but now we are back and pumped! We started our schooling two weeks ago and we are having a blast. I decided to homeschool Isaiah for PreK! We are still doing our " Learning our Letters, Learning to Serve" curriculum but now I have added SO much more exciting things. I plan to have Isaiah know everything he will learn in kindergarten...before he starts kindergarten.
Here are some of the things we have worked on this week...We started our "school year" with the Letter I.

Letter I is for Iguana alphabet animal!

Working on his Letter I animal.

We played some of our games that go with our letter I theme...Ice Cream Stack attack, Dont break the Ice, Imitate Imitate(not pictured), I spy(not pictured)

This is a picture of our Ice Block we made...more details on this in a post to come...STAY TUNED...

Serving Others: I made ICE pops for Isaiah and Isaac(and their cousins)...my neice and nephew were here this night to enjoy them with us!

Tranfering Ice cream scoops (aka..pom poms) from one dish to the other using the scoop!

This is our Ice cream unit...(I found this over at 2teachingmommies blog) I'm loving all their great ideas!

The set included many many many activities but I chose only a few...Ice Cream letter match, Ice cream tracing, sizing cones, matching flavors, Ice cream Counting clip cards, and a paper ice cream craft!

Isaiahs paper ice cream craft...I think it turned out pretty cute!

(Along with our theme we plan each week we also do our morning routine of calender time and we discuss the weather! We have a chart we change with the temp and we dress our weather bear accordingly. We review our ABCs daily and practice counting on our calendar. The days of the week are also part of our morning activities. Each morning I add more things to our daily routine!)
