*TOTSCHOOL* Letter D Week

Each week we do a different letter of the alphabet or some sort of theme. The letter D we did a few weeks back. Isaiah LOVES dinosaurs and dogs so I decided to go with these two themes for this letter. Along with our Totschool learning we also read a curriculum (from Laura at Heavenly Homemakers) called Learn your Letters, Learn to Serve. This curriculum goes through the alphabet with new ideas to discuss with your child, crafts and also ways to serve someone the way God expects us too. Isaiah and I have such a fun time each week brainstorming ways we can serve someone we know and care about with our letter of the week being incorporated.  In each Totschool post you should see "someone" who we chose for that week to deliver goodies to or just to do something helpful for. Here are some of our activities for D week.

D is for Dinosaur- alphabet animal
A friend of ours knew we were going to be learning about dinosaurs this week and her and her son gifted Isaiah with a HUGE box of dinosaurs her son had outgrown. This is the face of a proud new owner of numerous dinos! (this wasn't even a third of the dinos he was given) Thank you Mrs. Monae and Cameron!
We made fossils out of model magic...we later used the fossils to hide outside in our sandbox and pretend we were Paleontologists.

Every morning I had a different family of dinosaurs in his workbox that he was to put in size order from biggest to smallest.- He was really good at this!:)
Of course we had a Dot tracing activity for the letter D.
For this activity Isaiah was to use the tweezers to put his dino silly bands onto the correct colored stick!
Also each morning I put out a different dinosaur lacing activity for Isaiah to do...he was very proud of his work!lol

This week I had made a dinosaur theme sensory bin. It was a huge hit. Isaiah sat and played with this for hours.

Isaac got in on the action too....lol.

We made a dog ear headband...Isaiah was begging!:)

Here Isaiah was making homemade dog biscuits for dogs he loves.

He chose this to be his serving this week- Dog Biscuits for Dogs We Love! This is my Uncles Dog...Annie Girl. (Since    this pic she has passed from cancer. We will miss you Annie Girl)

He couldn't forgot his Nana's dog- Roxy!
And last but certainly not least, Isaiah's fav dog- Brownie. He loved the treats Isaiah made!
